With the infodemic penetrating even learning institutions and universities, especially during this pandemic, YABONG Philippine took part in an effort to further promote and celebrate MIL in Schools through a webinar event entitled “Pagkalampag” centered on eradicating infodemic in times of pandemic with Rizal Technological University (RTU) - Filipino Department attended by the Filipino Major students through Zoom and posted via Facebook Live last August 15, 2020.
Dun Concha Abiera, Founder of Yabong, served as a resource speaker who shared her knowledge on MIL as an Asia-Pacific Regional Youth Coordinator in the UNESCO-led GAPMIL Youth Committee. Youth leaders from this institution learned the impact of having too much information, including false or misleading information, in digital and physical environments during a disease outbreak.
